Meet The Team

Nearly 100 people work for GCC so we don’t have room to profile them all at once – but here’s a selection of the brilliantly talented people who want to work with you.

  • Anne Clare Wadsworth
Senior Vice President, Head of GCC

    Anne Clare Wadsworth

Senior Vice President, Head of GCC

    • When I joined GCC in 2000 as an Account Manager, I don’t think I really appreciated just what was possible at a company like ours. Having been given opportunities to develop at every stage of my career, including a stint in the US, I now have the privilege of leading this team of incredible people. I remain impressed by everyone’s readiness to accept change: no one ever says “but we don’t do it like that”, they look for the best way to adapt or actively seek to do things differently.
    • We’re known for our scientific excellence, strategic insights, attention to detail and responsiveness but you’d be amazed at how much innovation takes place, how much fun we have and how much food is available. I have never seen as many cakes, biscuits or ice creams as I do on a regular Wednesday in the GCC office.
  • Andrea Cole
    Senior Vice President

    Andrea Cole

    Senior Vice President

    • I’ve been with GCC for 11 years and it’s been an incredible experience with fantastic development opportunities, which have resulted in my current role leading one half of GCC. Our inspirational team has grown significantly and works across multiple therapy areas supporting clients in a variety of ways.
    • My role involves ensuring adherence to the highest standards of scientific excellence, providing advice to clients and seeking out opportunities for our people to develop. I love the variety and the intellectual challenge of my job but life is more than just work: I am also passionate about my family and music (an eclectic mix of the obscure, alternative and downright weird).
  • Abdul Al Khateeb
    Senior Medical Writer

    Abdul Al Khateeb

    Senior Medical Writer

    • When I joined GCC in 2008 I knew nothing about medical writing. Since then, I’ve had a range of challenges and developmental opportunities that have allowed me to rise through the ranks. Being an SMW is a sign of recognition and trust.
    • Professionalism, creativity, teamwork, organisation, scientific accuracy and business acumen aren’t just desirable qualities; they’re essential aspects of everything I do. I’ve built strong relationships with my clients and work as a strategic partner across multiple product teams. I take pride in what I do and the hard work always pays off. When not in the office, I enjoy playing football and making ‘stuff’ with my daughter from junk (let’s just say that I’ve got used to pink!).
  • Alison Scott
    Scientific Director

    Alison Scott

    Scientific Director

    • After 10 years in medical communications I’ve been lucky enough to work on many products in many disease areas, both in the UK and US. Every day is still different with new challenges that make me think in new ways. I still love the need to interpret complex scientific data so it’s clear and understandable no matter how it’s communicated – be it a scientific manuscript, interactive training course or website. Of course, this is only possible with great teamwork, commitment, creativity and innovative thinking. When my head isn’t full of science, it’s usually full of yarn as I love to knit!
  • Rhiannon Owen
    Principal Writer

    Rhiannon Owen

    Principal Writer

    • Since joining GCC as a Medical Writer in 2004, I have been given many opportunities to grow and learn as a writer. I’ve travelled all over the world, supporting clients with symposia, advisory boards and educational meetings, before focusing more on publication planning and delivery over the last couple of years.
    • I now enjoy passing on that knowledge and experience to our newer writers to help them develop their skills within our supportive team environment. A good work–life balance is strongly encouraged here, which gives me time to take up a ridiculous number of hobbies outside the office, including musical theatre, fibre crafts and, most recently, working towards running a 5k (very slowly).
  • Kesha Tansey
    Account Manager

    Kesha Tansey

    Account Manager

    • I joined GCC in 2011 as an Account Executive before being promoted earlier this year to my current role as Account Manager. I love the fast-paced nature of our work and the daily interaction I have with such a wide range of people all over the world. GCC has provided me with the base to really push myself and develop my creative ideas into real projects.
    • Within my team, my role is to ensure we continually deliver work of the highest standards, on time and to the client’s satisfaction. Outside of work, I am an avid reader and love nothing more than being outdoors.
  • Nigel Campbell
    Multichannel Communications Director

    Nigel Campbell

    Multichannel Communications Director

    • The very best thing about my role as Multichannel Communications Director is that I get to work across all our teams with people in every role. When working with our clients on a multichannel plan it is great to know that every aspect will be supported by experts in every discipline within our company. The fact that they are great people to work with makes my job far more rewarding.
    • I am passionate about communication and the pivotal role the development of the internet plays in connecting people to share experiences and ideas. In my home life I’m a photographer, musician and a keen astronomer.
  • Stephanie Gibson
    Associate Medical Writer

    Stephanie Gibson

    Associate Medical Writer

    • I joined GCC in 2012 as I wanted a new challenge after completing my PhD. Even though I have only been in my role for twelve months, I have already learned so much! By working as part of a team on a variety of projects including slide presentations, posters, manuscripts and websites, I have been given a great grounding in the world of medical communications. GCC’s commitment to my training has helped develop not only my writing skills, but also my confidence.
    • Even with my busy work schedule, I still find time to indulge in my hobbies of cross stitch, Lindy Hop, and helping to organise a local book group.
